Bio

Over the past twenty years I have been working on four projects. The first is "Work Trucks/Works of Art." This series includes vintage trucks that have been put out to pasture. When I look at a rusty truck, I see life and love. The second project is called "Seeing Faith. " The images in this group are spiritual in nature, expressions of faith and symbols of hope that surround us. The third group of photographs is titled "New Mexico Spirit." They are about the heart and soul of New Mexico. The fourth series, "Spiritual Transportation," are mixed media paintings in the spirit of expressionism—exploring my emotions and feelings.

I love the process of composing a photographic composition that includes color, texture, line, the design elements necessary to create a work of art. In the past, my photo's served as an inspiration for my paintings. Now I create colorful photographs that look like paintings. Sometimes, photography is about documenting reality. My goal is to document the abstraction in reality.  I want the viewer to discover the object within the photo and to enjoy seeing the natural world from an unusual perspective.

My special  edition photographs are digitally  printed with archival inks onto  watercolor paper. This technology  allows me to enlarge my photographs significantly, while not losing the detail from the original 35MM negative. I am often asked if I changed the colors or added to the photograph. I do the best job I can to represent the subject the way I discovered it, in all its natural glory.
